The Murray Spartans improved their consistency and came back with plenty of fire in the quarterfinals of the 4A state tournament, taking a four-game decision from the Tigers. "Right now I'm happy but nervous. We're going to have to play really well against Dixie. Ame (White) did a great job tonight. She could be completely dominant, but we try to distribute the ball a little bit," said Murray coach Wendy Pehrson, who noted that her team was serve receiving well and blocking the ball pretty well against Orem. White finished with 17 kills, and Tagiafouga Alofipo added nine for the Spartans. Hannah Robison, Ella Moe and April Robins played well for Orem.
