No. 6 Mountain Ridge defeated No. 11 Syracuse 5-3 to advance to next week's 5A bracket play, winning the 6A Super Regionals best-of-3 series 2-0. Kelli Christiansen went 2 for 3 with two RBIs to help lead the Sentinels to victory. Sydney Lambert, who struck out five over four innings, was the winning pitcher and added a double and an RBI. Mountain Ridge got critical late-inning runs to overcome an early deficit and secure the win.
