In Game 1 of the 5A Regionals best-of-3 series, No. 10 Taylorsville shut out No. 23 Northridge 10-0. Aleya Wegner was dominant on the mound for Taylorsville, recording seven strikeouts. Karli Brown's powerful home run and four RBIs helped Taylorsville to an early lead, scoring one in the first and adding four more in the second. They sealed the game with three runs in the third and two additional in the fifth. Game 2 is set for Monday.
