The No. 9 Orem Tigers overpowered No. 8 Mountain Crest Mustangs, winning 16-9 in Game 2 of the 4A Super Regionals best-of-3 series, thereby clinching the series 2-0 and advancing to next week's 4A Bracket Play at Spanish Fork Complex. The Tigers surged with a seven-run seventh inning, led by Jaileigh DeMaria who went 2 for 4 at the plate, driving in four runs with two home runs. Camber Hancock and Avery Allen also contributed home runs, combining for four RBIs. Meanwhile, Mountain Crest's Sage Walker went 2 for 3 with a home run in a six-run third inning. Orem tallied 17 hits and overcame its early errors behind Kiley Hoshnic's four strikeouts and defensive efforts.
