Maple Mountain crushed Northridge 12-0 in five innings in Game 1 of the 5A Regionals. The Golden Eagles (9-13) scored in every inning, including a four-run first to set the tone. Izzie Groneman powered Maple Mountain with a double, two home runs, and three RBIs. McClain Carter also homered and drove in three runs, while Kyla Donegan doubled twice and struck out 10 batters to earn the win. The Knights (5-16) managed just one hit in the loss.
