The Phoenix built up a 5-1 lead after the fourth, the Pirates responded with a three-run fourth inning to trail only by one. Farmington scored two more runs for a 7-4 point lead. Cyprus made it close, scoring two runs in the sixth inning but was unable to complete the comeback. Farmington had five players hit doubles with four recording RBIs.
