Enterprise Wolves dominated the game against Millard Eagles in the 2A state tournament winners bracket game, a double elimination tournament held at the Spanish Fork Sports Complex on May 11. The No. 1 seed Enterprise Wolves won the game with a final score of 11-3 against the No. 9 seed Millard Eagles. The game started in favor of Enterprise as they scored three runs in the first inning and continued to dominate the game. Millard struggled to keep up with Enterprise's pace. However, Millard cut down the lead to 4-2 in the fourth inning. But Enterprise quickly responded with four runs in the bottom of the same inning to extend their lead to 8-2. "It's the nerves of state and playing in a state game. But once we settled in and stuff we just played our game and did our thing and had fun and and hit the ball like we're capable of hitting," said Enterprise coach Katye Jones. The Enterprise Wolves continued to add to their lead in the next innings, eventually winning the game with a score of 11-3. Blakelee Christiansen was the winning pitcher for the Enterprise Wolves with eight strikeouts while Hailey Flynn was the losing pitcher for the Millard Eagles with three strikeouts. Dacee Terry had an impressive performance, going 3 for 5 with a double and four RBIs, while Becca Hess added one RBI and two stolen bases for the Enterprise Wolves. On the other hand, Millard's Jaydee Cain had a great game, going 3 for 3 with two home runs, a double, and three RBIs. Enterprise Wolves will move forward in the winners bracket of the 2A state tournament while Millard Eagles will move to the losers bracket.
