After taking a 7-0 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth, Altamont survived a late push from Duchesne and put a run on the board in the top of the eighth before holding on to secure the nail-biting region victory. Four players roped doubles while Makelle Thacker pitched the win in the circle for the visitors. Kaylie Grant went yard and doubled while Mashaylee Giles also hit a home run to power the home team in the narrow loss.
