Macauley Flint only allowed two hits as the second-ranked Royals advanced in the 5A state softball tournament. Flint drove in the game's first run in the sixth inning with a double. Flint, who was last year's 5A MVP, earned 13 strike outs in the win. The Royals will face the winner of the Taylorsville/Murray game on Thursday at 6:45 p.m. The loss sends Riverton to the one-loss bracket where the squad will face Weber at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
