Despite near-constant rain and muddy conditions, the Spartans managed to win their first-round playoff game thanks to a huge offensive outing against a tough West Jordan squad at Salt Lake Community College. The Jaguars had a huge first inning, which forced Murray to change pitchers. But the Spartans answered with some offense of their own in the third inning, including five doubles. Alyssa Strobehn had a home run and a double in the victory, while Bree Ordiway and Marki Ashton had home runs for West Jordan.
