Union Cougars (16-9) | 2 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 7 | 11 | 2 |
vs Canyon View Falcons (17-7) | 0 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 5 | 12 | 3 |
The Falcons forced the game into an extra inning by taking advantage of two Cougar errors. Kristina Lundgren smacked a double that scored both runners and tied the game. But Union answered right back with two outs, Jami Privadel hit a double that scored Mae Yazzie, who was on second base because of the international tie-break rule scored the winning run. Sara Townsend then knocked Privadel home with a single. Then the Cougar defense held the Falcons scoreless to end the game. The win meant Union earned a chance to play Lehi in the final game of the one-loss bracket Friday. The loss ended Canyon View's season.
