After three and a half hours and 12 innings, the Hawks upset No. 1 ranked Bear River when f+bLaney Jacobsenf-b scored the winning run on a throwing error. Bear River appeared to have put the game out of reach when they scored three runs in the top of the 12th inning. But the Hawks quickly countered with some hits of their own. f+bLacey Collardf-b hit a single that drove in two runs, and then f+bLindsay Larsenf-b scored her to tie the game. The win means North Sanpete will face Snow Canyon Friday at 11 a.m. in the quarterfinals of the 3A Tournament. Bear River had to turn around and play Wasatch on an adjacent field after the loss.
