Kylie Bronson smacked a double in the ninth inning and then scored herself on a sacrifice bunt by Kristi Stark to give the Bears the two runs they'd need to hold off the upset-minded Wasps. Wasatch managed to score one run in their last at-bat, but grounded out with two runners on base. Defensively in the bottom of the ninth, Bronson snagged a long fly ball and then got the ball into the infield so that the Wasps runner didn't score until the next batter. Bears' second baseman Ashlee Woerner fielded a grounder to get the game's final out. The Bears will face Union Friday night for a berth into the championship game. The Cougars upset no. 3 ranked Grantsville on the adjacent field.
