Cottonwood outlasted Kearns in a five-set marathon Wednesday night, winning 3-2 in a back-and-forth contest that went to overtime. The Colts seized control early with a 26-24 first-set victory, then Kearns evened things by taking the second set 25-11. Cottonwood reclaimed momentum in the third set before Kearns forced the fifth set with a 25-22 win in the fourth. In the decisive overtime set, Cottonwood pulled away for a 15-11 victory to improve to 2-0 on the season.
