Desert Hills fell to Marymount, Calif. in a nonregion volleyball match, losing 3-1. Despite a strong start with a 25-23 win in the first set, the Thunder couldn't maintain momentum and were overpowered as Marymount took the remaining sets 25-16, 25-15, and 25-23. Annie Gilmore led Desert Hills with 13 kills, while Presley Decker and Megan Hale contributed 7 and 4 kills, respectively. The Thunder struggled to find answers for Marymount's attack after the first set as the visitors secured the victory.
