Syracuse outlasted Layton in four sets to secure a 3-1 victory on Sept. 24. The Titans dominated the first two sets, winning 25-17 and 25-14, before the Lancers rallied to take the third set 25-18. Syracuse, however, sealed the win with a decisive 25-13 fourth set.
