The Layton Lancers secured a decisive victory over the Riverton Silverwolves in a three-game sweep, with scores of 25-11, 25-19, and 25-21. Anna Merrill emerged as the standout performer for the Lancers, amassing 13 kills with an impressive hitting percentage of .370. Joining the offensive effort were Milly Pendleton, Aubrey Hackett and Kinsley Flanders, all boasting hitting percentages above .500. Setter Penina Leota played a crucial role, facilitating the team's success with a total of 29 assists. "In our gym we focus on giving 100% mental, physical, and emotional effort in everything we do. We hold ourselves to a high standard of discipline and focus. The girls have worked extremely hard over the last year. Our record this season is a testament to our dedication to be the best volleyball players we can be," said Layton coach Hannah DeYoung.
