The Bengals easily took the first two games before the Hawks came alive to dominate the third and fourth games and extend the match. The teams traded points until the end, when Brighton pulled it out for sixth place in the 5A state tournament. Rebekah Meads paced Brighton with 17 kills, while Kenzie Filer added nine blocks and Haylee Wilkes was stellar on defense. Kaitlyn Vanhoff had eight kills and Challie Mitchell added five blocks for the Hawks, who finished eighth, in the loss.
