The Vikings rebounded after dropping the first game to upset Region 1's second-seeded team in the first round of the 5A state tournament. Kim Dahl and Delayne Daniel had 29 and 12 kills, respectively, and Anne Jenkinson played solid with eight more for Pleasant Grove. McKell Staheli added 12 digs, Karen Lloyd had five aces and Sydney Johnson dished out 44 assists in the win.
