Roundup

The Warriors dispatched of the Dons in four grueling games to set up yet another championship game rematch with their Region 9 rival Dixie Flyers. It wasn't easy for Snow Canyon as the Dons put up a fight and came away with one game win, but this will now be the fourth year in a row that the Warriors have battled the Flyers for the title, twice in 4A and once in 3A. Snow Canyon has walked away with a state championship for three years running and is hoping to make it a four-peat this year behind the superb play of McKenzie Willey, who put up 18 kills for the Warriors in the four-game win over Spanish Fork. Taylor Murphey wasn't far behind with 15 kills. She also finished the match with six aces. Ciara Parker finished with 41 assists and 16 digs in the match, and Jamaica Alisa played extremely well, hitting key shots and giving the team an emotional lift. The Dons were once again led by the twin tower threat of University of Utah bound Erin Redd and Southern Utah University bound Kylie Schofield, who put up a threat from everywhere on the court.
