Game Details - Girls Volleyball

The Dixie Flyers came out strong in Game 1 and came back from a huge deficit in Game 2, behind a monster game by Jennika Wright, to sweep the Red Devils and move into the second round of the 4A state tournament. Ashley Porter also had a nice effort in a balanced attack from the rest of the team. The Flyers went on to play at 3:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals. The Red Devils, despite good performances from Turia Andrus and Shea Aldana, dropped into the one-loss bracket to play at the same time. This game was a highly anticipated matchup between two of the states top-ranked teams in the first round of the state tournament.
