In a back-and-forth contest that was evenly-matched throughout, the Pioneers finally came out on top in a tough five games behind a solid defensive showing and major offensive production from Miranda Parkinson. The first game just kept going and going as the two teams battled to the best game of the tournament so far with the Pioneers finally coming out on top 34-32. Mikayla Dunford, Brielle Bailey and Brooke Izatt also scored on the solid sets of Madison Greenwood for the Pioneers, who moved on to play in the quarterfinals of the 4A state tournament at 6:45 p.m.
