Valley advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class 1A state tournament with a 42-29 win over Monument Valley, powered by standout performances from Lindsey Franklin and Andee Anderson, who both scored 12 points. The Buffaloes built a solid 20-6 halftime lead by outscoring the Cougars 12-4 in the second quarter. Tenacie Roundy contributed with 10 points, including two 3-pointers for Valley. Dakotah Cly led Monument Valley with 15 points. Valley will face its next opponent next Thursday at the SLCC.
