Carbon overcame a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime, and then held off Richfield in the extra session for the 3A quarterfinal win at the Sevier Valley Center. Carbon's Madison Orth scored 17 points to lead all scorers, with Makenna Blanc adding 13 points and Sydney Orton 11. Richfield was led by Rebecca Poulsen's 13 points as it shot 48 percent from the field. Carbon had a big edge at the free throw line which was the difference in the game.
