After taking just a 10-point edge over No. 2 Piute at the break, Panguitch opened up a 19-0 run over the final minutes of the third and into the first six minutes of the fourth to cruise to the 30-point victory and second straight 1A state championship. Senior guard Catania Holman led all scorers with 18 points while Taylor Bennett and Whittni Orton each added 11 more in the win. 1A's leading scorer in Piute's Shaylee Gleave capped off her tremendous tournament play and high-school career with a 15-point performance to lead the Thunderbirds in the loss.
