After the Mustangs controlled the game for over three and a half quarters and held a nine-point lead with just two minutes left, Kanab made a furious rally to tie the score and then draw a foul with five seconds remaining. Shaylee McDonald hit 1 of 2 free throws and Kanab forced a Bryce Valley turnover as time ran out to give the Cowgirls the come-from-behind victory. McDonald finished with a game-high 16 points while Ashlee Chynoweth led the Mustangs with 15 points in the loss.
