Despite a sluggish start, Morgan eventually pulled away with a very strong third quarter to advance to the 3A championship. Down most of the first half, the Trojans used a mini run to close the second quarter and take a 28-24 halftime lead. It eventually extended it to as many as 16 in the fourth quarter as Jessica Carter led the way with 12 points on four 3-pointers.
