Beaver used a dominant defensive effort in the second and third quarters to build a 26-point lead, 35-9, late in the third period, and the Beavers coasted in from there to reach the 2A girls title game for the third straight year. Schyler Jordan and McCail Wood scored 10 points apiece for Beaver, with Hattie Snyder adding nine and Rachel Roberts seven more. Samantha Nichols scored eight in a losing cause for North Summit, which had stunned pre-tournament favorite Richfield in Friday's semifinals.
