Emilie Volk led the Crusaders to a quarterfinal win in the 1A State Tournament with 26 points. She tied the game and then gave the Crusaders the three-point advantage from the foul line. She was 9-of-10 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Altamont's all-state forward Whitney Fieldsted led their offense until she fouled out with a little over four minutes in the fourth quarter. She finished with 15 points, while Taylor Thompson added 14 points.
