Piute produced an amazing performance to cap a perfect season with its first girls basketball state championship in school history. Deseret News All-Tournament MVP Kandice Gleave finished with a game-high 25 points, and fellow stars Loni Allan and Amanda Bagley added 16 and 15, respectively. Piute stomped on Duchesne early and poured it on before coach Wade Westwood brought in several reserves off the bench early in the fourth quarter.
