The second-ranked Lions won an overtime thriller to advance to the semi-finals. Sophomore guard f+bCierra Andersonf-b only scored two points in the game, but they were the most exciting as she put up a shot with less than three seconds on the clock to give the Lions the one-point advantage. f+bRebekah Jongertf-b led the team with 18 points, while f+bAshley Mooref-b added 14 points, 10 of those came from offensive rebounds. Senior f+bAshley Dowellf-b led Monticello with 23 points before fouling out with about a minute left in the game. f+bLinda Bartonf-b added 11 points, and f+bBettina Benallyf-b finished with 10 points. The loss means Monticello will play in consolation Friday at 4:30 p.m.
