Both teams showed some early nerves, and the defenses played strong to hold the Miners and Eagles under double digits in the first quarter. Sampson added a three-point play early in the second, and Bingham extended its lead to 13-6. Bingham controlled most of the second quarter, but Skyline was working its way back into the contest until f+bNicole Yazzief-b nailed a 3-pointer just before the buzzer at the half. Bingham extended the lead through the first half of the third quarter before both teams went cold to finish the third off. f+bMegan Marksf-b led all scorers with four and a half minutes left in the game with 11. Bingham used a balanced attack offensively and a stifling defense to defeat the cold Eagles with ease in the state championship game, avenging Skyline's victory over them in last year's semifinals. Skyline was unable to defend last year's title.
