The Falcons mounted a second-half comeback behind the play of f+bSomre Andersonf-b and f+bHaley Hallf-b. The duo scored 18 and 24 points, respectively, while holding the Jaguars to just 11 points in the third quarter. Hall had a steal and then a lay-up that put the team up by two points. Then, with 25 seconds left in the game, at the other end she was called for her fifth foul on a loose ball in the key. Hall, the junior who's carried the team past many opponents left the game in tears, but her teammates held on for the win. With 11 seconds left, f+bAshley Washburnf-b hit a free throw to extend the lead to three points, and then on the defensive end f+bWhitney Trimblef-b tipped a pass to Washburn. The Jaguars fouled her, and although she missed the free throws it ate up the clock and the Jaguars' last attempt to tie the game hit the rim at the buzzer. The win means Clearfield will face Bingham in the semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m. The Jaguars effort capped an impressive run after they upset No. 3 ranked Taylorsville in the opening round. They came out on fire in the second quarter, led by the hot-shooting of f+bMckenzie Mashf-b who finished with 17 points, including five 3-point shots. f+bSialei Loloheaf-b also had 17 points and an impressive night on the boards.
