She took a perfect pass from f+bMari Broadheadf-b in the center of the key and earned the two points needed to earn her team a fifth place finish in the 1A State Tournament Saturday. Her teammate f+bAnnie Juddf-b led her team offensively with 17 points, including three 3-point shots. Waterford controlled the game most of the way, even building up a 10-point lead at one point. But then f+bJenne Compf-b led her team in a comeback as she grabbed three steals within two minutes of each other. The Mustangs then went on a 14-0 run to even the score. Comp finished with 14 points, and f+bChristina Cantuf-b added eight points. The loss means Bryce Valley finishes seventh in the tournament.
