The Eagles earned a third-place finish with an exciting win over the Valley Buffalo. Jolynn Ivie led the team with 20 points, but it was her defensive hustle that kept the Eagles fired up and in the game even as they struggled in the third quarter. Her freethrows at the end sealed the win for Duchesne. Teammates Heather Madsen and Lindsay Mullins each added 11 points in the win. "I think this has got to be the worst game a team can play," said Duchesne coach Clel Robinson of the third-place contest. "I think the best thing we had going for us was that our game yesterday wasn't close. Valley lost a real close one, and it's tough to come back to play this game the next day."
