Game Details - Girls Basketball

OREM - It was difficult to tell that St. Joseph Catholic High School and Whitehorse weren't playing for the the 1A girls basketball championship. Whitehorse led after the first-half, but St. Joseph, as it has all season, came back strong in the second half of the game. Led by junior guard Katie McEntee, the Jayhawks quickly tied and then took the lead. McEntee finished with 16 points. Teammates Julie Laure led all scorers with 19 points, and Atim Effiong added 12 points. The Raiders stayed close thanks to great play by Duchena Martin, who finished with 16 points. Teammate Derica Dickson added 14, and Kolenya Holly scored 11. The win means the Jayhawks finish in third place, while Whitehorse claimed fourth place.
