Game Details - Girls Basketball

Tenacious defense helped the Jayhawks back into their first-round game against Milford after a frighteningly slow start. St. Joseph scored just two points in the first quarter, but then came back in the second half and held Milford to just two third-quarter points. The defensive effort was led by guards Angela Sanchez and Katie McEntee. McEntee led the team offensively with 14 points, including three treys. Sanchez added 11 points, while Jenna Davisson scored seven. Milford's Mallary Holm got off to a great start and was one of just two Eagles to score in the second half with 17 total points. Lynette Barnes added 11 points and was the other player to score in the second half. St. Joseph, now 19-3, will meet Duchesne in Thursday's quarterfinals at Timpview High School.
