TAYLORSVILLE - The Mountain View Bruins won their second straight title and ninth in 10 years by beating a talented, tough Timpview squad Saturday at Salt Lake Community College. The Thunderbirds hit five 3-point shots in the first half to take the lead going into half-time. After the break, however, Mountain View's defense not only took the outside shot away from Timpview, but the Bruins hit a few 3s themselves. Heather Hansen led the offense with 15 points. Teammate Mallary Gillespie added 11, and her sister, Hollie Hansen contributed nine points. For Timpview center Miriam Palkki led with 12 points, most of those foul shots in the second half. Teammates Stephanie Red and Sara red had nine and seven respectively. Freshman Jessica Harmon added eight points and hit two 3-point shots in the first half.
