TAYLORSVILLE - In an overtime thriller, Murray beat region rival East for the first time this season. The Spartans only lost four region games this season and two of them were to the Leopards. Both teams had foul trouble, but it neither team lost a player until the final minutes of overtime. Murray won it at the freethrow line and with some driving layups by Lindsey Arnoldus, who finished with a game-high 24 points. Teammates Sidni Taylor added 14, and Alayna Cary contributed 10 points. For East, Carolyn Manning came off the bench and played huge for the Leopards. She finished with a team-high 12 points. Libby Cannon added 11. Murray's defense held the team's high scorer, Katie Connelly to just eight points, four of which were freethrows.
