Game Details - Girls Basketball

TAYLORSVILLE - Kearns led Weber for the first quarter of the opening round game in the 5A State Tournament. But Weber came back to hold the Cougars to just two second quarter points. The Warriors defeated Kearns 43-34 Tuesday night at Salt Lake Community College. Weber had a balanced offensive attack with eight players scoring, none of them in double figures. Heather Hubbard had eight points, while teammates Karie Reeves and Amanda Dabb each added seven. Kearns was led by senior Nina Brunt who scored 11 points. Teammate Trina Tanielu added nine and Chelsey Delamare added seven points.
