OREM - East's Katie Connolly led her team to its first win of the 4A girls basketball tournament in the most exciting games so far. Connolly had an outstanding game on both ends of the court and finished with a game-high 16 points. But it was teammate Megan Goodrich who only had four points but came up with a steal and a basket that put East back on top with just under a minute left in the game. American Fork had big games from Julie Paxman, with 12 points, and Annette Searle, who had 11 points. Both teams played tough defense in a game that was close the entire 32 minutes. East will play the winner of the Murray/Logan game, which was expected to be just as close.
