South Summit (7-4) continued its dominance over American Leadership Academy (4-7) in the 2A State Tournament quarterfinals with a commanding 55-20 victory. The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead, scoring 14 points in the first quarter, including a 46-yard run by William Neff. Quarterback Ian Mair threw four touchdown passes, two of which were caught by Blake Osguthorpe, who also scored a 55-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter. Bryce Pulver added to the Wildcats' offensive showcase with a 45-yard touchdown run. Despite touchdowns from ALA's Wesley Haston and Andrew Marble, South Summit's defense held strong, advancing to the semifinals.
