The Mustangs jumped out to an early lead with a 1-yard touchdown run by Preston Arambel just over five minutes into the first quarter. Hurricane's Austyn McRoberts responded with a 42-yard touchdown reception, but Mountain Crest's Dylan Buist quickly answered with a 52-yard scoring run to end the first quarter.
