In a wildly entertaining 5A quarterfinal game in which No. 10 seed Bountiful and No. 2 seed Springville traded touchdowns the entire game, it was Bountiful that ultimately prevailed 36-35 in overtime on a successful two-point conversion run by Emerson Geilman. Siaki Fekitoa scored three rushing touchdowns in the win, including the game-tying score that sent the game into overtime with 1:03 remaining. In overtime, Tevita Valeti scored his third rushing TD of the game of Springville's opening possessions, with Faletau Satuala answering with an 11-yard TD run on Bountiful's possession. The Redhawks elected to go for the win instead of kicking the extra point for overtime, and it was successful as Emerson Geilman converted.
