The Richfield defense scored three touchdowns as the Wildcats thoroughly handled the Carbon Dinos. Carbon got a safety in the first half to avoid a shutout, but Dayson Torgerson and Damian Harkins each scooped up fumbles for Richfield touchdowns, and Emery Thorson picked off a pass for a 65-yard return. "We were able to overcome some early poor execution offensively and some chippy play to put up a strong defensive performance, and a good offensive as the game went on," said Richfield coach Ryan Shaddix.
