Dixie was able to edge out Sky View in a back and forth battle that came down to the final play. On three separate occasions, the Bobcats went up by a touchdown, but each time the Flyers responded to tie the game. Dixie was finally able to grab the lead with 52 seconds to go on a 15-yard run from Seth Takau. Sky View punched back. Garrett Zollinger completed a hail mary on the final play of the game, connecting with Cole Watterson before an extra point sent the game to overtime. The Bobcats again scored to take their fourth seven-point lead of the game. Derek Kesterson found the end zone in the bottom half of the extra period to cut the lead to one. Dixie decided to put the entire season on the line as they decided to go for two. A halfback pass from Kesterson to Jakheo Mitchell pushed the Flyers into a semifinals.
