After battling back and forth in the first half, it was the Syracuse defense that stepped up in the second half as the Titans earned a home victory. First, they picked up a safety in the mid-third quarter to push their lead to two possessions. It didn't matter though as they also were able to shutout their opponent until the final three seconds of the second half en route to their Region 1 win.
