Union's defense only let up one touchdown all night, when Austion Herbert hit Cole Sparrow for a 30-yard touchdown passes with just over 90 seconds to go in the first half. The Cougars would immediately respond with a 91-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, giving them a 14-7 lead going into halftime. Boone Lathem would score three passing touchdowns in the second half in a runaway victory. The game featured six total touchdowns, all of which were over 20-yards in length.
