The Lancers responded by driving all the way down the field where Porter Hansen kicked the game-winning field goal with five seconds remaining as Layton beat Davis for the first time since 2012. Layton QB Garrett Gifford finished the game completing 8 of 15 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to a rushing score. His TD passes were to Josh Taylor and Elias Parkinson, who each made their first catch of the season. "It was a great environment. Packed house. Both schools played hard.
