Cedar City rallied to stun rival Canyon View for the overtime victory on Friday. Canyon View led 20-3 midway through the third quarter after an Adrian Ward touchdown run, but Koden Lunt tossed a pair of touchdown passes during the rest of the second half, and then Edgar Hernandez-Hinojosa sent the game into overtime with a 33-yard field goal with 2:51 left in the game. In overtime, Ryan Hill sealed the win for the Reds on a 1-yard score to cap a thrilling game in the Battle for the Pick rivalry. "We were down 20-3 late in the third quarter and our coaches made some great adjustments and kids play with a lot of heart and we were able to come back and win in overtime.
